Once your scenario has been set up and saved, you can generate links for the Block by creating the button shown below.
To get your links, populate the following variables:
- The recipient ID variable*
This variable is used to generate unique statistics by uniquely identifying the openers with an ID. The variable to be used must match your router. It will automatically be updated at the time of sending. (see "What is the recipient ID?”)
It can be the email variable, a unique recipient ID, or even a customer number. It simply needs to be unique to each recipient.
This ID is automatically added to the end of the image hosting and redirect URLs.
- The message ID variable
This variable is optional. It allows you to differentiate the statistics for a Block inserted into multiple emails (different campaigns or message types) so that you can analyze the performance of openings and clicks by message ID.
This variable is automatically added to the end of the image hosting and redirect URLs. Example: NL 10/26/2020.
- Other variables*
Once you have set up a scenario that includes a “URL Setting”, there is a variable field to be completed. Example: “firstname”
Once all of the variables have been completed, you can copy your links. You can change these variables at any time and copy the new links.
